Our history
ALLWAYS COMMUNITY HEALTH CENTER
three clinics - one standard of compassionate care for all

The Atchison Community Health Clinic opened in 2009 when physicians Chad Johanning and Aaron Sinclair, with the strong support of Atchison Hospital, sought to meet the primary health care needs of the underinsured and uninsured citizens in Atchison and surrounding counties. This volunteer-led free clinic has grown to meet the needs of the community by becoming a Federally Qualified Health Center in 2015. ACHC has been committed to providing compassionate, high-quality healthcare for thousands of patients each year.
Marian Dental Clinic in Topeka, and St. Vincent’s Clinic in Leavenworth, were founded by the Sisters of Charity in Leavenworth, Kansas in the 1980’s. These clinics were created under the direction of Sister Rosalie Mahoney as a response to the unmet needs in these communities. Throughout their entire history, these clinics have served as a cornerstone of support for indigent patients, regardless of religious affiliation, with an emphasis on the values of compassion, respect of personal dignity, and a sensitivity to human suffering.
In July 2024, St. Vincent and Marian Dental clinics joined ACHC, thus ensuring that all three communities will benefit from comprehensive and integrated quality healthcare; and most importantly that their shared dedication to Compassion, Dignity, and Accessibility will continue.
All of our clinics share a common mission to offer compassionate, high quality healthcare for all. Regardless of circumstances or background, everyone can expect the same compassionate service at any of our facilities. Our mission of compassionate care in Atchison goes back 15 years and our recently added clinics in Leavenworth and Topeka have been doing incredible work since the 1980s. We provide top quality, healing hands to everyone we serve regardless of their ability to pay. We make sure that an individual's income is not a barrier to getting the treatment they deserve.

Our Logo
The logo is a representation of all three entities that have come together to form the AllWays Community Health Center. At the center of each of the legacy logos was a heart, symbolizing care and compassion – this element has been carried over to clearly indicate that, despite any change in names, there is no change in the quality or continuity of services.
With the heart, a compass represents the path toward health. When they place their wellbeing in the hands of the providers and staff at AllWays Community Health Centers, all patients can be assured that their health is our paramount focus.
The circle element of the compass represents the full continuum of care: behavioral health, dental health, and medical care, provided by AllWays Community Health Center.
Our logo is a statement that we care in all the ways we are able, all of the time.
