Is this the free clinic?
While it is true that the AllWays Community Health Center was once a traditional free clinic (see our History), we are no longer classified as that. We offer discounted rates for a variety of services in Atchison, Leavenworth, and Topeka to those who qualify and we accept patients with Medicaid, Medicare, and private insurance.
What if I don’t have insurance?
We never deny services due to your insurance status. You will be treated regardless of your ability to pay. We offer discounted fees based on your family size and income level.
Do you have an appointments available today?
Call one of our Patient Advocates to find out what may be available. We understand that illness is unexpected and we do our best to work patients in.

What are the prices for services?
Fees are determined by the type of services you receive. We offer high quality care for all. We believe that quality healthcare is for everyone, regardless of a person’s ability to pay.
We are happy to offer payment plan options to make it easier for you to receive the treatment that you need.
How does the sliding fee scale work?
We offer a Sliding Fee Scale based on Federal Poverty guidelines (FPG) to determine eligibility, essentially ensuring no one is denied care due to their inability to pay.
Those without insurance who don’t qualify for our Sliding Fee Scale can still benefit from our full range of services. No one is denied care due to their inability to pay.
Family size and proof of income is required for those wanting to apply for a discount.
What if I have no income?
We offer a Sliding Fee Scale for discounted services. The fee depends on household size and your ability to pay.
What if I can’t prove my income?
If you are unable to prove your income we will work with you to set up a payment plan. We can also work with you to complete a self-declaration form indicating that you have no income.
Are payment plans available?
Yes, we are happy to offer payment plan options to make it easier for you to receive the treatment that you need!
Can I come to ACHC if I have insurance?
Absolutely! We accept most major insurances and would be glad to have you become a patient of ACHC.
Why do I have to arrive so early for paperwork?
We understand the frustration with paperwork but it allows us to make sure we have all of our information correct. This also allows our nursing staff to have time to get your medical history which allows us to provide you with more effective healthcare.
The good news is that most of our paperwork only has to be completed when you first join us as a patient, and then once a year to update. If you want to get started ahead of time, you can fill out most of your new patient packet before you arrive for your first appointment….
Here’s a list of paperwork and links for new patients to fill out:
What do I bring to my appointment?
